2019 Phuket Sailing trip.

The route we took. Click here for a larger picture

Oiy has come with us now for 6 or 7 years and is becoming a true friend. The trip would not be the same without her.

"S/Y Jimmy Blue" 40 ft Lagoon S2

The Boys at Maya Bay.

Sunset in Krabi as we were heading from Railei to Au Nang

We had serious rain just about every day. Warm in the morning and a rain shower in the afternoon. not so much wind

Morning sunshine in Ko Panji.

Floating football field in Ko Panji.

Heading up the rivers and mangroves

Up to this cave about 30 min long-tail boat ride up the mangroves north of Ko Panji

Lobster and Masamam Curry. Does not get much better than that.

Easy to  recognize this from James Bond "The Man with the Golden Gun". This was where Scaramamga had his headquarter.

And the dolphin followed us around for over 4 hours.

Back to Phuket for 14th annual Boyz Sailing trip.

4 full time travellers this year. Repeat for Kelly (4th time) and Alexey (2nd time). Return of Patrick (8th time) and myself (14th time). Back with Elite Yachting as we had paid for the trip last year, but due to boat being highjacked and taken to Australia we could not take it last year, so they gave us a Lagoon 40 instead this year. Nice and comfortable, but does really not sail so well. Made it across to Phi Phi on Sunday with about 10 minutes to spare before sunset. Just in time..... Good we got going early. Monday was spent at Phi Phi Le and Phi Phi Don. Maya Bay is still closed, so not possible to go in there from either side of the island. Back to Phi Phi for overnight and a few Mojitos on the beach. Tuesday headed to Krabi for only one overnight before heading north to Ko Hong and all the way up to Ko Panji sea-gypsy village for the night. Bought some lobsters and cooked (well, Oiy did) them on the boat and combined with Masamam Curry. Excellent food !!!

Friday we went to James Bond island and headed back to Phuket. A dolphin took a liking to our dingy and followed us around for 4 hours. Quite a special experience.

Good trip yet again that will be repeated next year.

Best regards,

Alexey, Kelly, Patrick and Atle
